Today, I realized my little girl is getting to be pretty independent.
I don’t know what came over the house today, but we were all toast. Not enough sleep? Still wiped out from these colds? I was feverish and blocked up again, which probably explained it somewhat.
I put the boy child down for a nap around 10am, I wasn’t feeling well, so I snuggled up with Miss Question on the couch, to watch a little movie.
Well, when you are tired and watching a movie that you have seen 50bazillion times, you may struggle to stay awake.
Yeah, I passed right the heck out. But, it was okay, because apparently I had my very own mini-nurse. I woke up briefly when she dragged out a blanket for me, and covered me up.
The next time I stirred she was asking if she could have some applesauce. I said okay, and she helped herself.
The movie ended, she put her own cartoon on.
Then she found the juice boxes, and brought one out for me, too.
She got her colors out, and told me she was making a get well card for me.
She read me stories from her library books, and told me about all the jobs Tammy (her doll) has had.
I fell back to sleep, off and on, before the boy woke up at 3pm! Then we were all up for the rest of the day.
I feel guilty that I didn’t get to spend the one-on-one time with Miss Question, like we usually do on Sundays. And that I passed out, and she more or less fended for herself today. I feel a little proud of how well she was able to behave, and take care of herself(and mommy), and a little sad that she’s big enough to do so.
