No, it’s not a wonder diet. No miracles here, folks. Sorry about that.
I got a haircut. Okay, you’re all rolling your eyes at the claim of 5lbs of hair, but for real, it was about 2feet chopped off.
Hmm….I was going to insert a picture here of the ass-length hair, but apparently, I wore it up a LOT b/c I couldn’t find a single picture where I had it down.
Anyway, it was long, mmkay?
And then I cut it, and it wasn’t. This is what it looks like now:

Different, no? So why the drastic cut? Where did all that hair go?
I sent it off to Pantene Pro-V. See, I wanted to donate it for wigs for cancer patients. Of course, there is Locks of Love, but their wigs are strictly for children. And everyone donates to the children. Not that there is anything wrong with that, of course.
I will share more about how cancer affected the people in my life later, but to sum it up, they were adults, and I wanted to do this in their memory. So I donated it to Pantene Pro-V, which makes wigs for adult cancer victims.
I know how integral my hair is to my identity as a woman (right or wrong, it is what it is) and how heartbroken I would be to watch it fall out in clumps. I also know that I would never spend the money on a wig, if it meant my family would have to do without something. If my hair can ease one woman’s pain, even if just a little, then please, hack it off!
I encourage anyone who is thinking of a haircut to look into either one of these organizations. You don’t have to cut as much as I did. Patene Pro-V’s guidelines are a mere 8inches. Locks of Love asks for only 10 inches. Spread a little love with your new ‘do!

I did that back in January. Donated about 12 inches of hair to Pantene. Mine was a lot shorter than yours is now after, though. It was about that length when I cut it. lol
