I  meant to write, I really did. Just like I meant to get through the mound of laundry, do my homework and sleep more than 4 hours. But I got distracted.

So while I go off and write “Procrastination is not a viable talent” 100x on a sheet of paper, please enjoy some Stuff I Didn’t Write!

So last week I posted a list of things I wanted to accomplish this summer. And number one on that list was to regularly update you on my progress on said list. A gimme, but, hey, my list, my rules!

Number 2 was the taking/passing of two classes. And I am taking them. My grades in one are good, and in the other, I have turned the assignments in (ahead of time!) but the grades aren’t in yet. I’m taking Medical Terminology and Substance Abuse. Both are very interesting classes, and I’m enjoying them, so far.

Number 3….er, my utilities are still on, so that’s a good thing, right?

Number 4 was a trip to the library with the kiddos, plus we hit the rummage sales. Truck found an awesome Spiderman t-shirt he fell in love with, while Miss Question spotted a coin bank that’s a little mini-vending machine from across the room. For a dollar!

Number 5 didn’t happen this past week, and I’m not sure it will happen this coming week either. Thank you work schedule!

Number 6 is going. I’m packing lunches (healthy lunches) for work, and drinking water instead of soda. I’m on my feet constantly at work, but time-wise I haven’t had time to add in some of the other physical activity that I wanted to.  And the rainy weather hasn’t helped either! So, that’s my goal for next week.

Number 7 was to read 6(!) books. I’m thinking this may have been a tad ambitious! But I read “The Things That Keep Us Here” by Carla Buckley.(affiliate link) A post-apocalyptic novel with a theme from the headlines, and it’s written from the perspective of a female character. You can read my full review of Carla Buckley’s debut novel here. (Disclaimer: I get paid per view for that review)

Huh. Suddenly I feel like taking a nap…..

Things I Need to Remember

1)Failure is not the end of the world. It would suck, but it won’t kill me. Much.

2)The days my children drive me nuts are far outnumbered by the days they amaze me.

3)Money won’t solve all my problems, though it would take some pressure off.

4)Everyone is entitled to have a bad day. But it’s not okay to be consistently cranky.

5)It’s not a sign of weakness to ask for help. It is a sign of intelligence.
