I think there are few questions as hard to answer as “Who are you?”, but I’m going to give it a shot….
I am a 20something mother to two small children. And I am married to their father, who is a mostly amazing man.
I work in the health care field, and I love it even when I don’t.
I am from the middle of nowhere in Wisconsin.
I love food, both the cooking and the consuming. (And the sharing.)
Writing is something I’ve found hard to live without. We have a love-hate relationship with each other, but in the end, I think we were destined to be together.
I am probably too sensitive for my own good sometimes, but over the years, I’ve developed the ability to see the funny side of most of life’s rough patches.
I’ve wrestled with depression and anxiety for the better part of my life now, and I’d like to think that every now and then I come out on top of it all.
Who Are These Other People?
The Man- aka Mr. Babble, my high school sweetheart, and husband since 2004. Currently in school for an Associate’s in Automotive Tech. Despite his political leanings to the right, his ADD and habit of driving me batty, I can’t help but love him.
Miss Question- my inquisitive, smart alack daughter. A lover of words, like her mom, and a budding chef. She’s willing to try almost any food once, and loves the cooking channel. I see a lot of me in her, and I just cross my fingers that she avoids the rough parts.
Truck- I swear this was one of the first 3 words he spoke. Loves all things with wheels and motors. Always on the go, and usually attempting some stunt that makes my heart stop briefly. Definitely the baby of the family at 3 years old, though he doesn’t always agree.
Sadie- our 2 1/2yr old 100+lb dog, who thinks she is a lap dog. We rescued her from the local shelter. She had at least 3 prior owners in the 1-1 1/2yrs before we got her. She has some abandonment issues. Very docile and loving, but gets nervous if left to her own devices for too long.
Thomas- our 2yr old cat, we rescued him as a kitten from craigslist.org neither one of us were cat people before we got him. But he thinks he’s a dog, so it’s worked out well for us.
