Vulgarity of Everyday Life
Wednesday, March 7th, 2012A sink full of soapy water and dirty dishes waits for me. I tend to put it off as long as possible.
I’m not one of those who finds joy in the vulgar chores of everyday life.
There’s so much more I’d rather be doing.
Like napping. Or reading. Or writing. Or…you get the idea.
But the necessity of these routine chores; the dishes, the laundry, the toilet scrubbing…is not lost on me.
And so I submit, begrudgingly, to having my time and energy sucked away into the vortex of housework.
This post was written for Week 17 of the Trifecta Writing Challenge. This week’s word was vulgar.
